Mardi Gras at Lake of the Ozarks is a huge annual event that bills itself as The World’s Largest Mardi Gras Pub Crawl. The event is usually held on a Saturday (so not technically on Mardi Gras), very close to the date of Mardi Gras. Since the date of Mardi Gras changes annually to coincide with Easter and Lent, the weather for this event can be very pleasant or very cold. In 2020 this pub crawl fell on February 8, so warm clothes were a must have.
For $10, revelers can purchase a wristband at any of the 14 or so participating venues which allows entry into all venues each hosting live music or a DJ. The wristband also allows access to 23 busses from 4pm-2:30am which make stops at all venues, participating local hotels, and motels.
